3D Project Print Request

Are you attending the 3D Printers & Pens Petting Zoo
that is part of our Digital Life Series?

Well... Did you know you can also submit a request to print an object of your choice?

You can choose or create your design!

1. Select a design from a file-sharing database such as www.Thingiverse.com. OR

2. Use any 3D drafting software to create your own original design as long as the file can be saved in .stl, .g, or .gx format. TIP: Tinkercad is a free, browser-based 3D design and modeling tool designed for ease of use.

Use the form below to submit your design!

  • Designs will be added to the printing queue as they are received. Print jobs esitmated to need more than 1 hour to print will be moved to the back of the queue. Print jobs that require more than 2 hours to complete will likely be rejected. We reserve the right to refuse any 3D print request.

  • The Library will schedule only one 3D print job per patron. Patrons will be e-mailed a print status update if there is a problem with a print request or when a print job is ready for pick up. Patrons should keep in mind that their 3D object might not be printed due to time constraints, size limitations, and/or printer failure.

3D Print Project Requests for the 3D Printers & Pens Petting Zoo must be submitted by 9:00 AM on Wednesday, September 13th. This is an experimental service being offered on a trial basis, but we are considering offering this service again at a later date. We appreciate all patrons who choose to participate as we work out the kinks!
