to see snow, floating to the ground
collecting inch by inch over the open fields
One window is all I need
to let a cool breeze in
carrying the scent of hot apple pie
cooling in the window sill
One window is all I need
to see fall colored leaves
stirring on the ground
to hear the wind howling
and leaves ruffling against each
other
One window is all I need
to see a bright red cardinal
perched on a fencepost
chirping at the sky
