My tomato plants...

There’s only 2 tomato plants

out here in the sun.

until the goats ate one of them

And now, there’s only one.

I move it inside nightly

then take it out each day

next, water it and tend it

it’s needy, what more can I say?

last month I got a tomato cage

and trained the vines to climb

Large tomatoes coming up?

They’ll have a taste sublime.

Miracle gro goes on next

then I spray the branches.

All the dead leaves are picked off

I’m not taking any chances.

I finally got one tomato

from all the yellow blossoms

guess I’m lucky to get that much

we’re visited nightly by possums.

The turkeys leave my plant alone

the bird seed is their pleasure

I just enjoy looking at my plant

it gives me lots of pleasure.

It’s starting to get cold at night

the leaves are dropping fast.

My plant is looking sickly now

how much longer can it last?

The birds ate my tomato

That was reddened by the sun

I had my son uproot my plant

And now.....I have none.....
