Why I didn’t show

While you we’re waiting,

wondering why,

a bright orange light

hovered in the sky.

I starred up amazed eyes open wide

A beam slithered down sucked me up inside

My brain was shocked!  I schemed & I pondered

How I’d explain this to you for hours I wondered.

They poked & prodded ran experiments unexplained

I was strapped to a table pure simple & plain

Thier long fingers waved rested on their cranium

Said they didn’t need my blood but were seeking uranium.

They unstrapped my arms unstrapped my legs

Then offered me quite kindly bacon & eggs.

The hatch opened up, I fell from the clouds

These aliens I’d remember as I fell I vowed

This experience was awesome yet spellbinding, & true

though If I had it to do over again I would rather have seen you.

Thier experience left me dazed, dizzy & shocked

I really wasn’t drunk my equilibrium just off.

This excuse is stunning but honey Its true

I would forgive me how about you?
