Affordable Care Act

As part of the Affordable Care Act, U.S. citizens and legal residents are required to have qualifying health coverage by January 1, 2014. In preparation for this, a health care exchange (a place where consumers can purchase subsidized health insurance coverage) will be available beginning October 1, 2013. Open enrollment ends on March 31, 2014.
