FREE Clogging Workshop & Concert

Join award-winning singer/songwriter Carla Gover for a clogging workshop and learn to clog. The workshop and authentic folk music concert are FREE events, but you must register to participate.

  • Seniors' Wii Bowling
    Groups meet Tuesdays at 1 p.m. at Ridgway Memorial Library and at Lebanon Junction Library Wednesday. at 10 am
  • Open Paint
    No-instructor free paint Share your tips and techniques with other painters. Meets every Monday 12:30 pm - 2:20 pm at the Ridgway Memorial Library.
  • Veterans History Project
    We are making video records of veterans service during the war time. We are especially looking for WWII veterans. Call for appointment.
  • One on One Computer Class
    Do you need help with your beginning computer skills? We can help. Contact us for an appointment.
  • Lets Talk About It
    Book Discussion Group led by Diane Calhoun-French.
    Meets once a month through most of the year. More details.

 


Family Programs


On-Going Programs
  • Family Movie Night Ridgway Memorial Library 6 p.m.
    The 4th Thursday of each month. We usually show a recently released to DVD movie suitable for family viewing. Due to public performance license restrictions we can't name the movie here. Please e-mail or call Charlie to find out more details. Register Online

Tokyopop National Bus Tour and America's Greatest Otaku Contest to visit Ridgway Memorial Library in Shepherdsville, Ky August 9th from 10am - 1pm.

On-Going Programs

Anime Manga and Jpop group for High School Age Students.

We delve into the world of Anime, Manga and its music. We sample the foods of Japan.

We now have groups meeting at two Library locations:

@Ridgway Memorial Library - Meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 6 pm.

@Dorothea Stottman Library - Meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 6pm - 8pm

 

Children's Programs


On-Going Programs
  • Storyhour
    For 3 - 5 year old children and their caregivers. Programs run all year during the school year. They include a wide variety of activities including reading books, doing crafts and other fun project. This is a great way for parents or grandparents to enjoy doing guided activities with their child and having fun at the same time! Storyhour will begin after Labor Day 2010. Register online.
  • Summer Reading Program
    A FREE summer program for elementary age children (K–5). There are stories, crafts, and other activities. All participants are awarded coupons and prizes. Our 2010 Summer Program has ended. The 2011 program will begin next summer.
