Book In Print with Reviews

Books In Print with Reviews features more than 300,000 full text reviews from nine leading sources, including Publishers Weekly, Kirkus, Library Journal and School Library Journal. Additional sources are continuously being added. The Books In Print with Reviews database is published by R.R. Bowker, a unit of Cahner's Business Information, and is the most complete source of information on books published in the U.S. The database consists of bibliographic records from over 46,000 publishers. These records cover books currently in print and titles about to-be-published as far as six months in advance, as well as information on titles pronounced out-of-print or out-of-stock indefinitely since 1979. This database is updated monthly on EBSCOhost.

Books Out of Print

The Books Out Of Print database, published by the R. R. Bowker, a division of Reed Elsevier Inc., is the most complete source of information on books published by virtually all publishers in the U.S. The database consists of bibliographic records from over 44,000 publishers. These records cover books currently in print and titles about to-be-published as far as six months in advance, as well as information on titles pronounced out-of-print or out-of-stock indefinitely since 1979. Books In Print includes all the information in the most current printed editions of the following publications: Books In Print, Books Out of Print, Subject Guide to Books In Print, Books In Print Supplement, Forthcoming Books, Books In Series, Children's Books In Print, Subject Guide to Children's Books In Print, and Paperbound Books In Print.

Business Source Premier

The Business Source Premier database is a comprehensive, business periodical database that includes scholarly journals and business periodicals covering topics such as management, economics, finance, accounting, international business and much more. Business Source Premier contains content from full text sources ranging from general business periodicals such as Business Week, Forbes, Fortune, American Banker, etc. to academic journals such as Harvard Business Review, Journal of Management, Academy of Management Review, Review of Economics & Statistics, etc. Business Source Premier provides cumulative indexing and abstracts for nearly 2,000 business journals and cumulative full text for nearly 1,300 journals. This database also includes Country Monitor and Industry Yearbook Reports from WEFA, 35 country reports from the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) and Wall Street Words. The peer-reviewed full text content in Business Source Premier is unmatched, and full text backfiles are available for many journals back to 1990. Additionally, Business Source Premier includes embedded images for many of the full text journals.

Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature

CINAHL, the Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature, covers over 950 professional journals in nursing, 17 allied health disciplines, and health sciences librarianship, with coverage as far back as 1982. In addition, CINAHL offers access to healthcare books, nursing dissertations, selected conference proceedings, standards of practice, educational software in nursing, audiovisuals, and book chapters. CINAHL also contains complete coverage of English-language nursing journals and publications from the National League for Nursing and the American Nurses' Association. CINAHL with headings contains CINAHL-specific headings. This database is updated monthly on EBSCOhost.

MEDLINE

Comprehensive MEDLINE with FullTEXT provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. This database contains full text articles from over 85 leading medical journals. Comprehensive MEDLINE with FullTEXT with MeSH includes the entire MEDLINE collection and uses MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) indexing with tree numbers, tree hierarchy and explosion capabilities to search abstracts from current biomedical journals, citations from Index Medicus, the International Nursing Index, and the Index to Dental Literature. This database is updated monthly on EBSCOhost.

MasterFILE Premier

MasterFILE Premier provides full text from over 1,810 general reference, business, consumer health, general science, and multi-cultural periodicals. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for over 2,780 periodicals. Full text backfiles go as far back as January of 1990, while indexing and abstract backfiles go as far back as January of 1984. This database is updated daily on EBSCOhost.

Clinical Reference Systems

EBSCO has added to its already comprehensive list of medical information resources Clinical Reference Systems. CRS offers thousands of essays covering eight major health related subjects, including adult health, behavioral health, cardiology, drug and medication information, pediatric health, senior health, and women’s health and sports medicine.

Health Source Plus

Health Source Plus provides full text from over 255 periodicals covering nutrition, exercise, medical self-care, drugs and alcohol, and much more. In addition, this database provides full text for over 1,065 pamphlets and 23 books. Full text backfiles go as far back as January of 1990, while indexing and abstract backfiles go as far back as January of 1984. This database is updated daily on EBSCOhost.

USP

USP DI Volume II, Advice for the Patient provides patient-oriented drug information in lay language. Simplified monographs correspond directly to the listings in USP DI Volume I, Drug Information for the Health Care Professional. Monographs are organized into the following sections: Brand Names commonly used in both the United States and Canada, Description, Before Using This Medicine, Proper Use of This Medicine, Precautions, and Side Effects. Information for the patient relating to unlabeled uses is provided as Additional Information. Also included are pronunciations of drugs and special considerations such as age, allergies, pregnancy, and breast-feeding. The full text is easily accessed through the Result List or Full Display.

Encyclopedia of Animals

EBSCO's Encyclopedia of Animals offers in-depth information on a variety of topics relating to animals. The database consists of indexing, abstracts, and full text records describing the nature and habitat of familiar animals. Within some of the full text, image links are available for the Windows client. Images are accessed by double-clicking any image graphic.

Funk & Wagnalls New Encyclopedia

For students and adults alike, the Funk & Wagnalls New Encyclopedia database indexes over 25,000 records. Full text for each record may be easily accessed by double clicking on the topic from the display. This database is updated annually.

Middle Search Plus

Middle Search Plus provides full text from nearly 100 general reference, health and science magazines. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for nearly 200 magazines. PsycINFO (1984-Current) contains citations and summaries of journal articles, book chapters, books, and technical reports, as well as citations to dissertations, all in the field of psychology and psychological aspects of related disciplines, such as medicine, psychiatry, nursing, sociology, education, pharmacology, physiology, linguistics, anthropology, business, and law. Journal coverage, spanning 1984-present, includes international material selected from more than 1,400 periodicals written in over 35 languages.
