Policy for Donating Sick-Time and Vacation Time
This policy is to allow one staff member to donate sick time or vacation time earned to another staff member who does not have any compensation time, sick time or vacation time available. This would be of use to staff who have family or health emergencies. The person donating the time would submit a form stating the amount of time they would like to donate, and the person to whom it is to go. Upon verification of availability of hours, the amount would be deducted from the person donating it, and added to the person receiving it. The hours could be used by both full and part time employees. The effective date of this policy would be retroactive to October 1, 1994.
